FAQ

Which monitoring types are supported?

Four main check types: HTTP/HTTPS — site availability and response time; Ping (ICMP) — checking servers and network nodes; TCP ports — checking open ports of any TCP services; SSL certificates and domain expiry via WHOIS — tracked automatically alongside the HTTP check.

What is a "monitor" in the dashboard and bot?

A monitor is a single configured check of any type: an HTTP site, a server ping, a TCP port. Everything is unified under one term because management and check history work the same way. On the landing page the terms «sites» and «servers» are used for clarity.

How is ping different from a TCP check?

Ping (ICMP) checks that a host is reachable over the network at all. TCP checks that a specific port accepts connections. If a firewall blocks ICMP — use the service's TCP port (for example, 22 for SSH or 443 for HTTPS).

Can I use both the bot and the web interface at once?

Yes. The bot is handy for quick operations and alerts, the web — for analytics, filters and list management.

What's the minimum check interval?

It depends on the plan and the capabilities policy. The current limits are always pulled from the API.
